Linda Rideout is an art instructor with over 30 years experience, visual artist, and eternal student of everything art related. She began teaching in 1989, volunteering to bring art history and projects into the curriculum at her daughters’ elementary school. Since that time Linda has perpetually been in the classroom, spending years continuing to volunteer at the school and teaching community art classes for all ages at the California Center for the Arts, Escondido and with Escondido Parks & Recreation. From 2004 on, Miss Linda (as her students affectionately call her) has been teaching classes through San Diego homeschool charter programs, bringing a joyful mix of instruction in technique, art history, and creative process in many different mediums to her students. Her passion for teaching is based in her belief that everyone can make beautiful art and that there are no mistakes when you’re creating.
